1 day, Block printing on textiles to make your own lampshade, March 15th 10 - 4.30pm
Create a beautiful piece of your own unique printed linen, then learn to make this into a lampshade!
You will start the day, guided by Katie, from Smitten Design, through some simple but effective techniques to decorate a piece of Linen. Let your mind off the hook and get lost in some therapeutic pattern repeats, using simple stamp making.
All materials are provided, including a carefully curated range of textile inks.
After a luscious lunch, using your printed linen, the afternoon will be spent learning to make your very own straight sided drum lampshade suitable for table lamp or pendant, and this can be either 25cm or 30cm.
Claire from Oscuro will begin with a demo and then you will be making your own with her guidance. Everything provided. No prior experience or sewing skills required.
