BLOCK PRINTING WORKSHOPS
Create your own collection of beautiful printed designs on fabric using simple tools to make your own printing blocks and learn about pattern repeats in the process. A carefully curated colour pallet of textile inks will be provided for you to use during the workshop. You will make and take home a collection of stamps, printed samples on calico squares and a finished textile design on a linen tea towel. Class includes: all materials to make wooden stamps, print onto test fabric then print final tea towel. Skill level: All levels welcome.

Textile block printing workshop Join me for a 3 hour workshop where we will create our own collection of beautiful printed designs onto fabric. We’ll be using simple tools to make our own printing blocks and learn about pattern repeats. A carefully curated colour pallet of textile inks will be provided for you to use during the workshop. At the end of the workshop you take home 3 printed samples on cotton and a completed a printed linen Tea Towel. Novice and experienced students are welcomed. Students will make and take home with them: A collection of stamps, 3 x printed samples of 50 x 50 cm calico squares (extra available), A finished textile design on a linen Tea Towel (extra available for additional cost). |

You will also have the opportunity to learn some stenciling and stamping techniques. Mix your own fabulous combinations of colours and take away several squares of printed cotton. This is an in depth immersive course into Textile print design.
By the end of the course you will have produced a collection of printed samples, developed ideas through drawing and repeat pattern skills, created your own colour pallet and mood-board as well as learnt how to mix dye colours and experimented with different textile printing methods.
